Indianapolis ATCT
Our February, 2007 meeting concluded with a lovely tour of
the brand-new air traffic control tower (ATCT) and terminal radar approach
control (TRACON) in Indianapolis. Members had an opportunity to tour
the facilities, as well as speak with local air traffic controllers
regarding local procedures, and plans for future airspace changes.
Members also had an opportunity to see firsthand some of the tools and
automation (such as STARS) ATCers use to work our flights!
